Lionel-Noël Royer was a French painter. He was most famous for painting large scenes of the life of Joan of Arc in the Basilica of Bois-Chenu in Domrémy.

Jean-Louis Anne Madelain Lefebvre de Cheverus was a French Roman Catholic bishop and later cardinal. He was the first Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Boston, Massachusetts in the United States, and later became a bishop and then archbishop in his native France.

Paul Jeanneteau is a member of the National Assembly of France. He represents the Maine-et-Loire department, and is a member of the Union for a Popular Movement.

Robert Varnajo was a French professional road bicycle racer. In the first part of his career, Varnajo won some road races, including a stage in the 1954 Tour de France. Later in his career, he specialized in track racing, and became French champion three times. He was born in Port-la-Claye-Curzon.

Paul Fréart de Chantelou was a French collector and patron of the arts. He encouraged major artists of his era, in particular Nicolas Poussin (1594–1665) and Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1598–1680), and is known for his diary describing Bernini's visit to Paris in 1665.
