Ihor Markov is a Ukrainian entrepreneur, founder and chairman of the Rodina Party and is a former deputy of Ukrainian parliament as a member of the Party of Regions faction. Markov is wanted in Ukraine in connection with riots in Odessa that took place on 2 September 2007. He was arrested in Italy's Sanremo in August 2015. In February 2016 Italy refused Markov's extradition to Ukraine.

Mykola Leonidovich Skoryk is a Ukrainian politician who was Chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration.

Leone Ginzburg was an Italian editor, writer, journalist and teacher, as well as an important anti-fascist political activist and a hero of the resistance movement. He was the husband of the renowned author Natalia Ginzburg and the father of the historian Carlo Ginzburg.

Irina Zaretska is a Ukrainian and Azerbaijani karateka. She won the silver medal in the women's +61 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. She is a two-time gold medalist in the women's 68 kg event at the World Karate Championships. She also won the gold medal in this event at the 2015 European Games, the 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games and the 2021 European Karate Championships.

Anastasiya Ihorivna "Nastya" Petryk is a Ukrainian singer. She won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "Nebo", becoming the first Ukrainian entrant to win the competition.

He discovered a theoretical explanation of alpha decay by quantum tunneling, invented the liquid drop model and the first mathematical model of the atomic nucleus, and worked on radioactive decay, star formation, stellar nucleosynthesis and Big Bang nucleosynthesis, and molecular genetics.
