David McCann is an Irish professional road bicycle racer, and rode in the 1996, 2000 and 2012 Olympic Games. He was the Irish national road race champion in 2000, 2001 and 2006, and won the Irish national time trial championships a record 6 times. He last rode for the Synergy Baku Cycling Project, an Azerbaijan-registered UCI Continental team.

Edward Joseph (Eddie) Friel was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1962. He is a B. Mus. Honours graduate who in 1986 started his professional career as a music teacher. After one year he decided to pursue his talents as a musician and composer in local piano bars at home as well as in Canada and Europe, where he travelled for a year.
