Tibor "Ted" Rubin was a former Hungarian–American Army Corporal. A Holocaust survivor who immigrated to the United States in 1948, he fought in the Korean War and was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during the war, as a combatant and a prisoner of war (POW).

Tünde Handó is a Hungarian jurist, judge, who served as the inaugural President of the OBH from 1 January 2012 to 30 November 2019. On 1 January 2020, she replaced István Stumpf as a member of the Constitutional Court of Hungary.

István Urbányi is a Hungarian former football player and coach, who currently serves as head coach of Kaw Valley FC in USL League Two. Kaw Valley is based in Lawrence, Kansas and Topeka, Kansas, with offices in Topeka.

Naftali Herstik is a well known chazzan (cantor) and teacher. He was born in Salgótarján, Hungary and came with his family to Israel at the age of three. He is descended from a long line of cantors and Rabbis, and was recognized as a cantorial prodigy from his early childhood, singing as a teen in concerts with Cantor Moshe Koussevitzky.
