Christophoros A. Pissarides
Sir Christopher Antoniou Pissarides is a Cypriot economist. He is the School Professor of Economics & Political Science and Regius Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics, and Professor of European Studies at the University of Cyprus. His research focuses on topics of macroeconomics, notably labour, economic growth, and economic policy. In 2010, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics, jointly with Peter A. Diamond and Dale Mortensen, "for their analysis of markets with theory of search frictions."
Sotiris Kaiafas
Sotirios Kaiafas is a retired Cypriot footballer who is considered to be the best footballer that Cyprus has ever produced. He played for Omonia and Cyprus. During his career at Omonia, he won the European Golden Boot.

Evdokia Kadi is a Cypriot singer who represented Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, with the song "Femme Fatale". She was eliminated in the second semi-final on May 22 and therefore did not make it to the final.

Osman Alkaş is a Cypriot-Turkish actor. He is one of the founders of Nicosia Municipal Theater and he is still active in this theater. He was involved in the production of Torba, a popular program among the Turkish Cypriot people, and was featured in the film Gölgeler ve Suretler and the TV series Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman ki. He then acted in the films Uzun Hikaye, Hükümet Kadın 2, Sarmaşık, etc. His performance was particularly praised for his role in the film Sarmaşık.
