Lev Semyonovich Berg, also known as Leo S. Berg was a leading Russian geographer, biologist and ichthyologist who served as President of the Soviet Geographical Society between 1940 and 1950.

Frank Sondles Pattee was an American football halfback. He was born in Smith Center, Kansas, the son of Addie and John Walter Pattee. He was a star football player at Smith Center High School, and played college football at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.

Elma de Vries is a Dutch marathon speed skater and inline speed skater. She is the older sister of marathon speed skater Bob de Vries.

Fletcher Markle was a Canadian actor, screenwriter, television producer and director. Markle began a radio career in Canada, then worked in radio, film and television in the US.

Franz von Baader, born Benedikt Franz Xaver Baader, was a German Catholic philosopher, theologian, physician, and mining engineer. Resisting the empiricism of his day, he denounced most Western philosophy since Descartes as trending into atheism and has been considered a revival of the Scholastic school. He was one of the most influential theologians of his age but his influence on subsequent philosophy has been less marked. Today he is thought to have re-introduced theological engagement with Meister Eckhart into academia and even Christianity and Theosophy more generally.

Marta Vila Josana Andreu is a Spanish road bicycle racer. She competed in the Women's road race at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing where she finished 55th.
