Thomas Walker Hobart Inskip, 1st Viscount Caldecote, was a British politician who served in many legal posts, culminating in serving as Lord Chancellor from 1939 until 1940. Despite legal posts dominating his career for all but four years, he is most prominently remembered for serving as Minister for Coordination of Defence from 1936 until 1939.

Carl Duncker was a German publisher. He played an important part in the early creation and growth of the publishing firm which became Duncker & Humblot, more recently the publishers of the Neue Deutsche Biographie, a biographical dictionary.

Roman Yosypovych Hryhorchuk is a Ukrainian football manager and a former player. He is the manager of Belarusian Premier League club Shakhtyor Soligorsk.

Dave Eggers is an American writer, editor, and publisher. He is married to writer Vendela Vida with whom he has two children. He wrote the best-selling memoir A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. Eggers is also the founder of McSweeney's, a literary journal, a co-founder of the literacy project 826 Valencia and the human rights nonprofit Voice of Witness, and the founder of ScholarMatch, a program that matches donors with students needing funds for college tuition. His writing has appeared in several magazines.

Katharina Jacob was a teacher and member of the German Resistance movement against National Socialism. She was married to Franz Jacob, a German Resistance fighter who was executed by the Nazis.

Jeremy Nicolas Hutchinson, Baron Hutchinson of Lullington, was a British barrister. He was the son of St John Hutchinson, KC, and his wife, Mary Barnes, and was descended from the regicide Colonel John Hutchinson of Owthorpe. Standing as a Labour candidate in the 1945 general election, he finally entered Parliament as a life peer in 1978, eventually voting with the Liberal Democrats.
