For her performance on the show Simons received many accolades, including the 2008 National Television Award for Most Popular Newcomer.

Drinkwater has also played internationally for England at under-18, under-19 and senior levels. He is a Premier League winner, having won the competition with Leicester in the season of 2015–16.
