Sergei Viktorovich Pugachev, also spelled Sergey Pugachyov, is an ex-Russian investor and former member of Vladimir Putin's inner circle. He is a Doctor of Technical Sciences and a member of the International Engineering Academy as well as the author of three monographs and 40 research papers.

Mikhail Ivanovich Pugovkin was a Soviet and Russian comic actor named a People's Artist of the USSR in 1988.

Dmitry Konstantinovich Belyayev was a Russian geneticist and academician who served as director of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics (IC&G) of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk, from 1959 to 1985. His decades-long effort to breed domesticated silver foxes was described by The New York Times as “arguably the most extraordinary breeding experiment ever conducted.” A 2010 article in Scientific American stated that Belyayev “may be the man most responsible for our understanding of the process by which wolves were domesticated into our canine companions.”

Yelena Borisovna Mizulina is a Russian politician serving as a member of the Russian Parliament between 1995 and 2003 and again since 2007. Since 2012, she has been the center of attention in regard to a set of controversial laws concerning the rights of the LGBT community in Russia and the adoption of Russian orphan children by foreigners. She is currently Chairman of the Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs. She has changed her political affiliation several times, having served public office on behalf of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, the liberal Yabloko and Union of Right Forces parties and is currently representing the region of Omsk in the Duma as a representative of the social democratic A Just Russia party.

Dmitry Grigoryevich Pavlov was a Soviet general who commanded the key Soviet Western Front during the initial stage of the German invasion of the Soviet Union in June 1941. After his forces were heavily defeated within the first few days of the campaign, he was relieved of his command, arrested, charged with military incompetence and executed. He was exonerated or, in Soviet parlance, rehabilitated in 1956.

Saint Philip II of Moscow was a Russian Orthodox monk, who became Metropolitan of Moscow during the reign of Ivan the Terrible. He was one of a few Metropolitans who dared openly to contradict royal authority, and it is widely believed that the Tsar had him murdered on that account. He is venerated as a saint and martyr in the Eastern Orthodox Church.

Roman Valentinovich Kopin is the governor of Chukotka, Russia. He succeeded Roman Abramovich in July 2008.

Aleksandr Vyacheslavovich Golubev is a former Russian speed skater. Very surprisingly he came to the top in the 500 m in Vikingskipet at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. He didn't place himself in the top three in any other international championship after that. But he stands with one individual victory on 500 m in the World Cup from 1993.
