Midori Shintani is a female Japanese judo wrestler. Shintani won a gold medal at the women's open category of the 2005 World Judo Championships in Cairo.

Motoyuki Ōtsuka , known mononymously as Morrie, is a Japanese singer-songwriter. He is best known as the vocalist and co-founder of the influential heavy metal band Dead End, active from 1984 to 1990. When they disbanded, he began a solo career for five years, before moving to New York City and going into hiatus. He reemerged in 2005 with the solo project Creature Creature, which utilizes several well-known Japanese musicians, reunited with Dead End four years later, and released his first solo album in twenty years in 2015.

Katsuya Onizuka is a former WBA Super Flyweight champion from Kitakyushu, Japan. Onizuka was an extremely popular boxer in Japan, creating a boxing boom in Japan during the early 1990s along with Joichiro Tatsuyoshi.
