Masaaki Ōsawa was the governor of Gunma Prefecture in Japan. He was first elected in 2007 after serving in the assembly of Gunma Prefecture.

Michiko Kanba was a University of Tokyo undergraduate and a Zengakuren activist. She died in clashes between demonstrators and police at the South Gate of the National Diet Building in central Tokyo at the climax of the 1960 Anpo Protests against the US-Japan Security Treaty. She is buried in Tama Cemetery in Tokyo.

Takatoshi Ishibashi is the Head coach of the Tokyo Hachioji Bee Trains in the Japanese B.League. He played college basketball for Hokkai Gakuen University. He was selected by the Toyama Grouses with the 14th overall pick in the 2006 bj League draft.

Tatsuya Kojima is a Japanese former professional baseball pitcher in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball. He played for the Hanshin Tigers in 2007 and from 2009 to 2015.
