Birsel Vardarlı Demirmen is a Turkish former basketball player. She played for Fenerbahçe İstanbul between 2007–19 and was the captain of the team between 2012–17. She also played for Migrosspor between 2005–07. Known for her sportsmanship and her rivalry with Işıl Alben, she won many titles with her club, making her one of the most successful Turkish female basketball players.

Mahmut Özgener has been the 38th president of the Turkish Football Federation. He succeeded Hasan Doğan, who died of a heart attack in Bodrum. He served from 19 August 2008 until 29 June 2011.
