Jeanne Boitel was a French film actress. She played a role in the Resistance during World War II, using the surname of Mozart. She met Jacques Jaujard during her resistance activities in the war, and married him.

Maurice Failevic was a French film director. A communist, he directed more than 50 films about class struggles, depicting the lives of members of the French working class, from peasants during the French Revolution to the unemployed, factory workers and banlieue dwellers in the 20th century. He directed films for cinema and television as well as documentaries.

Catherine Samie is a French actress and member of the Comédie-Française from 1962. On July 14, 2011, she became Grand Officier of the Legion of Honor. She is a Catholic.

He was an authority on the Crusades, and his work on the Latin missions in Asia has been qualified as "unsurpassed". Richard was a member of the Institut de France. He was President of the prestigious Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres in 2002. He was born in Le Kremlin-Bicêtre, France in February 1921. Richard died in January 2021, two weeks shy of his 100th birthday.

Jules Charles Toussaint Védrines was an early French aviator, notable for being the first pilot to fly at more than 100 mph and for winning the Gordon Bennett Trophy race in 1912.
