She became active in local politics 2003, for Framsóknarflokkurinn, a Nordic agrarian centre-right party. In 2008 she was elected as a representative to the Althing, the Icelandic parliament.

Einar Kristinn Guðfinnsson is an Icelandic politician. He was speaker of the Althing, in office 2013 until 2016. He was Iceland's Minister of Fisheries from September 2005, and became Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture when the two ministries merged on 1 January 2008 until 1 February 2009.

In that competition, she sang the entry Hægt Og Hljótt (in english: with music and lyrics by Valgeir Guðjónsson; the conductor was Hjálmar Ragnarsson. The song ended in 16th place and received 28 points.

She trained at the Tennis og badmintonfélag Reykjavíku, and educated philosophy of psychology at the University of Iceland. In 2011, she commented on skirts boosting popularity in badminton.
Greta Salóme Stefánsdóttir
Greta Salóme Stefánsdóttir, known outside Iceland simply as Greta Salóme, is an Icelandic singer, songwriter, and violinist in the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. She represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan, in a duet with singer Jónsi with the song "Never Forget". They qualified from the first semi-final into the Eurovision final and eventually finished in 20th place with 46 points. She represented Iceland again, this time as a soloist, in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Hear Them Calling", where she failed to qualify.
