László Nemes is a Hungarian film director and screenwriter. His 2015 debut feature film, Son of Saul, was screened in the main competition at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Grand Prix. He is the first Hungarian director whose film has won a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film. Son of Saul is the second Hungarian film to win the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In 2016, Nemes was a member of the main competition jury of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

Eva Klein is a Hungarian-Swedish scientist. Klein has worked at the Karolinska Institute since leaving Hungary in 1947. She is regarded as a founder of cancer immunology.

Anna Rudolf is a Hungarian chess player who holds the FIDE titles of International Master (IM) and Woman Grandmaster (WGM). She is a popular chess personality, having worked as a commentator and analyst at many major tournaments including the 2016 World Chess Championship and 2018 World Chess Championship. After the Second World War the family immigrated to Israel, where he subsequently served in the Israel Defense Forces and worked as a teacher. He later moved to Canada and then to the United States. In 2018, he was a witness to and survivor of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. He is a jeweler and speaker in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Máté Kocsis is a Hungarian jurist, sports administrator and politician, who served as Mayor of Józsefváros from 2009 to 2018. He also represents Józsefváros in the National Assembly of Hungary from 2010 to 2014, and since 2018. He is the current leader of the Fidesz parliamentary group. Since 2015 he is the president of the Hungarian Handball Federation.
