Suman Pokhrel is a Nepali poet, lyricist, playwright, translator and artist. His poetry is also included in the syllabus of universities.

Bidya Devi Bhandari is a Nepali politician who is serving as the second and current president of Nepal. She formerly served as the minister of defence and minister of environment and population.

Subedar Major Jitu Rai is an Indian shooter who competes in the 10 metre air pistol and 50 metre pistol events. Government of India announced Khel Ratna Award for him in 2016. In 2020, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in the Republic of India.

Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli, more commonly known as K. P. Sharma Oli, is a Nepalese politician and the current Prime Minister of Nepal. He previously served as Prime Minister from 11 October 2015 to 3 August 2016 and was the first elected PM under the newly adopted Constitution of Nepal.

Ratnajit Tamang is a Nepalese badminton player. He was born in badminton family. His father Dil Bahadur Tamang was a former national player, and his sister Nangsal and Sara Devi also play badminton in the international event. In 2016, he became the first Nepalese that won the international tournament in Pakistan together with Nangsal in the mixed doubles event.

Nangsal Devi Tamang is a Nepalese badminton player. In 2014, she competed at the Incheon Asian Games in the women's singles event but was defeated by Bellaetrix Manuputty of Indonesia in the first round. In 2016, she won the mixed doubles title at the Pakistan International tournament with her siblings Ratnajit. She also was the third place in the women's singles. After won the Pakistan International, the siblings received the Zest honours. At the national event, she plays for the Tribuvan Army Club, and at the Pushpa Lal Memorial National Open Badminton Championships, she won the women's singles and doubles event.

Sujata Koirala born 9 February 1954 in Biratnagar) is a Nepalese politician and the only daughter of former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala. She was made Foreign Minister under Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal. Sujata was promoted to Deputy Prime Minister on October 12, 2009. She has a daughter named Melanie Koirala Jost.
