Rinat Leonidovych Akhmetov is a Ukrainian billionaire businessman, and oligarch. He is the founder and president of System Capital Management (SCM), and ranked among the wealthiest men in Ukraine. As of 2019, he was listed as the 272nd richest man in the world with an estimated net worth of US 6.4 billion. Some sources have claimed that Akhmetov has been involved in organized crime, but Akhmetov has never been charged with a crime, his lawyers successfully refuted these accusations. Akhmetov is the owner and president of the Ukrainian football club Shakhtar Donetsk. In 2006–2007 and 2007–2012, Akhmetov was a member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (parliament) for the Party of Regions. Akhmetov also made numerous statements, since March 2014, appealing for integrity of Ukraine and finding peaceful solutions of the crisis.

Aleksandr Vladimirovich Revva, better known by his stage name Arthur Pirozhkov, is a Russian stand-up comedian, TV host and voice actor. A former KVN player, in 2006 Revva became a "resident" of the Russian Comedy Club show on TNT. As of 2009, Pirozhkov hosts a TV show on NTV.

Yukhym Leonidovych Zvyahilsky is a Ukrainian politician. He is the only member of Verkhovna Rada who was elected to parliament in eight elections.

Irina Anatoleyvna Yarovaya née Chernyakhovskaya is a Russian political figure, a Deputy Chairman of the State Duma from United Russia Party and a member of United Russia's General Council. She was elected to the 5th (2007) as well as the 6th (2011) and the 7th State Duma of the Russian Federation (2016). On 21 December 2011 she became the Head of the Parliamentary Committee for Security and Anti-Corruption.

Aleksandr Ivanovich Skorobogatko is a Ukrainian-Russian billionaire businessman and former deputy member in the State Duma, having represented the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (2003-2007) and United Russia (2007-2016). He has previously served as the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Civil, Criminal, Arbitral and Procedural Law.

Denis Vladimirovich Pushilin is the former Chairman of the People's Council of the self-declared Donetsk People's Republic (2015–2018), and therefore, under the draft Constitution adopted in May 2014, the self-declared republic's head of state. On 7 September 2018, Pushilin was appointed acting Head of the DPR; a position which he held until elections on 11 November 2018.
