Demetris Syllouris is a Greek-Cypriot politician. He is the former president of the Cypriot parliament and was the leader of the European Party between 2005 and 2016.

Mustafa Akıncı is a Turkish Cypriot politician who was the President of Northern Cyprus from April 2015 until October 2020.

Buray Hoşsöz is a Cypriot-Turkish pop singer.

Derviş Zaim is a Turkish Cypriot filmmaker and novelist, who has twice won the Golden Orange for Best Director for Elephants and Grass (2000) and Dot (2008); Golden Oranges for Best Film and Best Screenplay for Somersault in a Coffin (1996); and the Yunus Nadi literary prize for his debut novel Ares in Wonderland (1995).

Nicos Anastasiades is a Cypriot politician who has been President of Cyprus since 2013. He was re-elected in 2018. Previously, he was the leader of Democratic Rally between 1997 and 2013 and served as Member of Parliament from Limassol between 1981 and 2013.

Derviş Eroğlu is a Turkish Cypriot politician, who served as the third President of Northern Cyprus. Previously, he was Prime Minister and twice-leader of the National Unity Party. He served a term of nearly 17 years, by this he was the longest serving Prime minister of the country. He also holds the record of longest serving MP. He became president on 23 April 2010, serving until 30 April 2015.

Stella Kyriakides is a Cypriot psychologist and politician of the conservative Democratic Rally party who has been serving as European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety since 2019. She served as the first Cypriot national and third woman President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Tufan Erhürman is a Turkish Cypriot academic, lawyer, diplomat and a former Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus. A scholar in public law by profession, he served in the negotiations to solve the Cyprus dispute between 2008 and 2010. He previously worked for the Ministry of Justice of Turkey between 1999 and 2004 and worked for the establishment of the position of ombudsman in Turkey. He is the current leader of Republican Turkish Party. He held the office of Prime Minister beginning January 2018 as the leader of a four-party coalition. The coalition government resigned on 9 May 2019, with Erhürman continuing as Prime Minister until the office was taken over by Ersin Tatar on 22 May 2019.

Hüseyin Özgürgün is a Turkish Cypriot politician and a former Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus. He is the current leader of the National Unity Party (UBP). He was formerly the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. From 23 April to 17 May 2010 he was also Acting Prime Minister. Moreover, he was prime minister of Northern Cyprus from 16 April 2016 to 2 February 2018.
