Francisco Gómez de Altamirano y de Elizondo was a Central American licenciado, military officer and Liberal politician. From November 15, 1835 to February 1, 1836 he was chief of state of the state of El Salvador within the Central American Federation.

Henry Raabe Méndez is a Costa Rican road racing cyclist. He represented Costa Rica at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's road race. Raabe, however, was lapped and disqualified from the run, before reaching the 185.0 km lap of the course.

José Rafael de Gallegos y Alvarado was president of Costa Rica's Junta Superior Gubernativa from October 1822 to January 1823 and head of state of Costa Rica from March 1833 until March 1835 and again from May 1845 to June 1846.

Joaquín Eufrasio Guzmán was a politician and briefly acting President of El Salvador on three occasions: from 25 October 1844 to 16 February 1845, from 25 April 1845 to 1 February 1846, and from 19 January 1859 to 15 February 1859, after conducting a coup against General Malespin during the war with Guatemala.

Rodrigo José Ramón Francisco de Jesús Carazo Odio served as President of Costa Rica from 8 May 1978 to 8 May 1982.
