Bishop Severian Stefan Yakymyshyn, O.S.B.M. is a Canadian Ukrainian Greek Catholic hierarch. He served as an Eparchial Bishop of Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of New Westminster from 5 January 1995 until his retirement 1 June 2007.

Louis-Joseph Papineau was a Canadian politician and lawyer. He was first elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 1908 federal election as the Liberal MP for Beauharnois, Quebec. He crossed the floor to join the Conservatives and was re-elected in the 1911 federal election. As a result of the Conscription Crisis of 1917, Papineau crossed the floor yet again to rejoin his old party and was re-elected in the 1917 federal election as a Laurier Liberal. He was re-elected in 1921, again as a Liberal before retiring from parliament with the 1925 federal election.

Jean-François Hamtramck (1756–1803) was a Canadian who served as an officer in the US Army during the American Revolutionary War and the Northwest Indian War. In the Revolution, he participated in the Invasion of Quebec, the Sullivan Expedition, and the Siege of Yorktown. In the history of United States expansion into the Northwest Territory, Hamtramck is connected to 18th century forts at modern Midwest cities such as Steubenville, Vincennes, Fort Wayne, and Detroit. The town of Hamtramck, Michigan is named for him.

Louis-Philippe Hébert (1850–1917) was the son of Théophile Hébert, a farmer, and Julie Bourgeois of Ste-Sophie de Mégantic, Quebec. Hébert was a sculptor who sculpted forty monuments, busts, medals and statues in wood, bronze and terra-cotta. He taught at the Conseil des arts et manufactures in Montreal, Quebec. He married Maria Roy on 26 May 1879 in Montreal, Quebec. The couple's eight children include Henri Hébert, a sculptor, and Adrien Hébert, a painter.
