Luis Ortiz is a Cuban professional boxer. He held the WBA interim heavyweight title from 2015 to 2016, and has challenged twice for the WBC heavyweight title in 2018 and 2019. As an amateur, he won a silver medal at the 2005 Boxing World Cup. Nicknamed "King Kong", Ortiz is known for his formidable punching power and counterpunching skills. As of August 2020, he is ranked as the world's sixth best active heavyweight by The Ring magazine and Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and tenth by BoxRec. He was ranked by BoxRec as the world's top 10 heavyweight from 2014 to 2018.

Juan Miguel Echevarría Laflé is a Cuban athlete specialising in the long jump. He represented his country at the 2017 World Championships, narrowly missing the final. He later won a gold medal at the 2018 World Indoor Championships with a mark of 8.46 m.

Juan de la Caridad García Rodríguez is a prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He was appointed Archbishop of Havana on 26 April 2016. He previously served as an Auxiliary Bishop of Camagüey from 1997 to 2002 and then as Archbishop of that diocese from 2002 to 2016. He is a past president of the Cuban Conference of Catholic Bishops.
