Johann Wolfgang Döbereiner was a German chemist who is known best for work that was suggestive of the periodic law for the chemical elements, and for inventing the first lighter, which was known as the Döbereiner's lamp. He became a professor of chemistry and pharmacy for the University of Jena.

Erkan Veyseloğlu is a German-born Turkish professional basketball player for Darüşşafaka of the Turkish Basketball Super League. Standing 6 ft 7 in, he plays the small forward position.

Erhard Heiden was an early member of the Nazi Party and the third commander of the Schutzstaffel (SS), the paramilitary wing of the Sturmabteilung. He was appointed head of the SS, an elite subsection of the SA in 1927. At that time the SS numbered less than a thousand men and Heiden found it difficult to cope under the much larger SA. Heiden was not a success in the post, and SS membership dropped significantly under his leadership. He was dismissed from his post in 1929, officially for "family reasons". He was arrested after the Nazis came to power in 1933 and executed that same year.

Robert Zollitsch is a composer and producer of new Chinese music. He is known as Lao Luo (simplified Chinese: 老锣; traditional Chinese: 老鑼; pinyin: Lǎo Luó, literally "Old Ro/Gong" in China, and established himself as an expert of traditional Asian music and a very important composer of contemporary Chinese art music.
