Katinka Hosszú is a Hungarian competitive swimmer specialized in individual medley events. She is a three-time Olympic champion and a nine-time long-course world champion. She is owner of a Budapest based swim school and swim club called Iron Swim Budapest, and co-owner and captain of Team Iron, founding member of the International Swimming League.

Pál Dárdai is a Hungarian retired footballer who played mainly as a defensive midfielder, and current coach of German club Hertha BSC.

Zoltán Gera is a Hungarian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He played for Fulham, Pécsi Mecsek and Harkány SE, as well as enjoying two spells at Ferencváros and West Bromwich Albion.

Kató Lomb was a Hungarian interpreter, translator and one of the first simultaneous interpreters in the world. Originally she graduated in physics and chemistry, but her interest soon led her to languages. Native in Hungarian, she was able to interpret fluently in nine or ten languages, and she translated technical literature and read belles-lettres in six languages. She was able to understand journalism in further eleven languages. As she put it, altogether she earned money with sixteen languages. She learned these languages mostly by self-effort, as an autodidact. Her aims to acquire these languages were most of all practical, to satisfy her interest.

Victor Vasarely, was a Hungarian-French artist, who is widely accepted as a "grandfather" and leader of the Op art movement.

Marcel Adios Breuer, was a Hungarian-born modernist architect, and furniture designer. At the Bauhaus he designed the Wassily Chair and the Cesca Chair which is “among the 10 most important chairs of the 20^th century.” Breuer extended the sculpture vocabulary he had developed in the carpentry shop at the Bauhaus into a personal architecture that made him one of the world's most popular architects at the peak of 20th-century design. His work includes art museums, libraries, college buildings, office buildings, and residences. Many are in a Brutalist architecture style, including the former IBM Research and Development facility which was the birthplace of the first personal computer.

Olga Tass was a Hungarian gymnast who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics, in the 1952 Summer Olympics, in the 1956 Summer Olympics, and in the 1960 Summer Olympics. She was born in Pécs.

Béla Tarr is a Hungarian filmmaker. His body of work consists mainly of art films with philosophical themes and long takes.

András Bálint is a Hungarian actor. He has appeared in more than 75 films and television shows since 1958.

Imre Gyöngyössy was a Hungarian film director and screenwriter. His film The Revolt of Job (1983), which he co-directed with Barna Kabay, was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Gyöngyössy said that he intended the film "as a message not only between generations but between nations".
