Alexandros Panagoulis
Alexandros Panagoulis was a Greek politician and poet. He took an active role in the fight against the Regime of the Colonels (1967–1974) in Greece. He became famous for his attempt to assassinate dictator Georgios Papadopoulos on 13 August 1968, but also for the torture to which he was subjected during his detention. After the restoration of democracy, he was elected to the Greek parliament as a member of the Centre Union (E.K.).
Stavros Niarchos
Stavros Spyrou Niarchos was a billionaire Greek shipping tycoon. Starting in 1952, he had the world's biggest supertankers built for his fleet. Propelled by both the Suez Crisis and an increasing demand for oil, he and rival Aristotle Onassis became giants in global petroleum shipping.
Solon

During her career, she twice reached the third round of the French Open. She competed in the Federation Cup multiple times and participated in the tennis demonstration in the 1984 Summer Olympics, reaching the quarterfinals. Another career highlight was reaching the finals of the 1986 Athens Trophy, where she lost to Sylvia Hanika.
