In September 2010, British magazine New Statesman listed Han Han at 48th place in the list of "The World's 50 Most Influential Figures 2010". In June 2010, Han Han was interviewed by CNN as China's rebel writer who has become the unofficial voice for his generation.

Though he was born in Argentina, he does not speak any Spanish, since his formal education was all done in Japan. Japanese is the only language he is able to write and speak. Later during his teenage years his parents separated.That was due to his mother infidelity.He never graduated high school due to low grades- but showed interest in the arts.

Ai Shibata is a Japanese swimmer. At the 2004 Summer Olympics, she won the gold medal in the 800 meter freestyle race. She was the first ever female gold medalist for Japan in a freestyle event. She attended the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya. In 2008 Shibata announced her retirement.
