Francisco Javier "Patxi" Lazcoz Baigorri is a Spanish lawyer and former politician of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). He spent his entire political career from 1991 to 2015 as a city councillor in the Basque capital of Vitoria-Gasteiz, serving as party leader from 2003, and mayor from 2007 to 2011.

John Murphy is a British film composer. He is a self-taught multi-instrumental musician who began his career in the 1980s, working with The Lotus Eaters, Thomas Lang, and Claudia Brücken. His awards include the Silver Award at the Cannes Film Festival, a British D&AD Award, and a BMI Award.

Joan Daemen is a Belgian cryptographer who co-designed with Vincent Rijmen the Rijndael cipher, which was selected as the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) in 2001. More recently, he co-designed the Keccak cryptographic hash, which was selected as the new SHA-3 hash by NIST in October 2012. He has also designed or co-designed the MMB, Square, SHARK, NOEKEON, 3-Way, and BaseKing block ciphers. In 2017 he won the Levchin Prize for Real World Cryptography "for the development of AES and SHA3". He modestly describes his development of encryption algorithms as the creating the bricks which are needed to build the secure foundations online.
