Saori Kondo is a former badminton player who won Japanese national titles and excelled internationally in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Known for her quickness and determination, Kondo was runner-up in women's singles at the prestigious All-England Championships in both 1978 and 1979. She performed exceptionally well for the Japanese Uber Cup teams, which won consecutive world championships in 1978 and 1981.

Atilla Sertel is a Turkish politician and journalist from the Republican People's Party (CHP) who has served as a Member of Parliament for İzmir's second electoral district since the November 2015 general election. He previously served as the President of the Federation of Journalists of Turkey from 2009 to 2015.

Ōzutsu Takeshi is a former sumo wrestler from Mie, Japan. Beginning his professional career in May 1971, he was ranked in the top makuuchi division continuously from March 1979 to January 1992, and his record of 1170 consecutive bouts there is the second best in history after Takamiyama. His highest rank was sekiwake. He was runner-up in one tournament and earned ten kinboshi or gold stars for defeating yokozuna. He also won four sanshō or special prizes. He wrestled for Taihō stable and after his retirement in May 1992 he worked there as a coach before leaving the Japan Sumo Association in 2008.
