Evelyn Murphy is an American businesswoman and politician who was the 67th Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts from 1987 to 1991, being the first woman in the history of the state to hold a constitutional office. She is now the president of The WAGE Project, a United States nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating wage discrimination against women; a resident scholar at the Women's Studies Research Center at Brandeis University, and a corporate director.

Mohammed al Amin,, sometimes spelled Mohamed Elamin or El Amin, is a Sudanese popular musician of international fame, noted for his style of singing, his playing of the oud and his often outspoken lyrics. - Subjected to political repression by Sudanese governments of the day, he took exile in Cairo in 1989, and only returned to Sudan several years later.

Dr. Dick Traum is the founder of the Achilles Track Club for disabled athletes. In 1976, he completed the New York City Marathon, becoming the first runner to complete such an event with a prosthetic leg. In the 1980s he became the first amputee to finish a 100 km ultra event, in Poland.
