Richard Howard Purser is a New Zealand badminton player who has won 33 New Zealand national badminton titles, including the men's singles on nine occasions. He competed at four consecutive Commonwealth Games, from 1966 to 1978, and won the bronze medal in the men's doubles with his brother, Bryan Purser, at the 1978 Commonwealth Games.

Sheldon F. Kahn is a film editor and producer. He was jointly awarded the BAFTA Award for Best Editing, with Lynzee Klingman and Richard Chew, for their work on One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Tu Weiming is a Chinese-born American philosopher. He is Chair Professor of Humanities and Founding Director of the Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies at Peking University. He is also Professor Emeritus and Senior Fellow of Asia Center at Harvard University.
