James Terence Small was a South African rugby union winger who played for the Springboks. His international debut was against the All Blacks in 1992 and he made his final appearance against Scotland in 1997. In that final test match, he scored his 20th try, becoming the leading Springbok try scorer, eclipsing Danie Gerber's record. He was also the leading try scorer in the 1996 Super 12 season.

Roy William Whiting is a British convicted child murderer, from West Sussex. In July 2000, he abducted and murdered 8-year-old Sarah Payne of which he was found guilty in December 2001. On 12 December 2001, he was sentenced to life imprisonment and is set to remain in prison until at least 2041, he will be 82 if he is still alive. Whiting's risk to the public is so severe that it is likely that he will never be released from prison.

Yasuhito Endō is a Japanese footballer who plays for J2 League club Júbilo Iwata, on loan from Gamba Osaka. His brother Akihiro Endō was also a footballer.

Eleanor Gwyn was a prolific celebrity figure of the Restoration period. Praised by Samuel Pepys for her comic performances as one of the first actresses on the English stage, she became best known for being a long-time mistress of King Charles II of England and Scotland. Called "pretty, witty Nell" by Pepys, she has been regarded as a living embodiment of the spirit of Restoration England and has come to be considered a folk heroine, with a story echoing the rags-to-royalty tale of Cinderella. Gwyn had two sons by King Charles: Charles Beauclerk (1670–1726) and James Beauclerk (1671–1680). Charles was created Earl of Burford and later Duke of St. Albans.
