Víctor Manuel Caratini is a Puerto Rican professional baseball catcher for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Chicago Cubs where his nickname was “Chompers”. After catching Joe Musgrove’s no-hitter he was given the nickname “The Scientist”. Listed at 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) and 215 pounds (98 kg), he throws right-handed and is a switch hitter.
