Mircea Snegur
Mircea Snegur was a Moldovan agronomist and politician who served as the first president of Moldova from 1990 to 1997. Before that, he served as the chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Moldovan SSR from 1989 to 1990 and chairman of the Supreme Soviet from 27 April to 3 September 1990.
