Jared W. Remy is an American career criminal who pleaded guilty to the murder of his girlfriend, Jennifer Martel. He is the son of former Boston Red Sox player and current Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy. Remy previously worked for the Red Sox's security staff, but was fired after a Major League Baseball investigation implicated him in steroid use.
