Beauchamp Duff

General Sir Beauchamp Duff was a Scottish officer with a distinguished highly decorated military career in the British Indian Army, rising to political ranks ultimately serving as Commander-in-Chief of India during the First World War, he was one of the most senior general officers. His role in the disastrous expedition to Mesopotamia was criticised helping to end a long career at the end of the Victorian era.
