Yelü Yilie, otherwise known by his temple name Emperor Renzong of Liao, was the second emperor of the Qara Khitai, ruling from 1150 to 1163.

Yelü Bei, also known as Yelü Tuyu, posthumously honored Wenxian Qinyi Huangdi (文獻欽義皇帝) with the temple name Yizong, formally known as Ren Huangwang during his lifetime, known as Dongdan Muhua (東丹慕華) (931) and then Li Zanhua (李贊華) (931-937) as a Later Tang subject, was the eldest son of Emperor Taizu of Liao, the founder of the Liao dynasty. He was declared successor to the Emperor Taizu in 916, but never succeeded to the throne. Rather, after the accession of his younger brother Yelü Deguang, he fled to the Shatuo-led Later Tang, where he was killed in 937.

Yelü Yanchege, King of Qi was a prince of the Liao dynasty. He was the second son of Emperor Taizong of Liao and the second younger brother of Emperor Muzong. He was honoured as Crown Prince Qinjing (欽靖皇太叔). After his nephew Emperor Jingzong succeeded to the throne, he was promoted to the King of Qi, and his consort Xiao Hunian became the Queen of Qi. In 972, he died and Xiao Hunian received the title of Consort Dowager. After he died, his consort took over as head of his army and became the commander in chief of an expeditionary force against border tribes in the west in 994 and led her troops in a campaign against the Western Xia, where she was credited with the establishment of the northwestern city of Kodun.

Yelü Zhimo, also known by his title the King of Ning (宁王), was an imperial prince of the Liao dynasty. He was granted as the King of Ning during the reign of Emperor Muzong of Liao. He was the third son of Emperor Shizong by Empress Zhen. His mother was the only Han Empress Consort in Liao's history. He was half younger brother of Emperor Jingzong. Zhimo has an affair with one of Yelü Jing's maid and after it was discovered by Jing own, he lost one of his eye to protect his lover and then become half blind, also sentenced to imperial punishment and became an eunuch. After his wife death, he started live alone in his Mansion and became a Buddhist monk.

Yelü Zhilugu was the third emperor of the Western Liao dynasty, ruling from 1177 to 1211. As the final ruler from the House of Yelü, he is considered by traditional Chinese sources to be the last monarch of the Western Liao dynasty.

Yelü Xiyin, also known by his title Prince of Song, was an imperial prince of the Liao dynasty. He was the eldest son of former Crown Prince Yelü Lihu by Empress Hejing. Xiyin married Lady Xiao, the second daughter of Prime minister Xiao Siwen.

Yelü Chucai was a Khitan statesman from the imperial clan of the Liao dynasty who became a vigorous adviser and administrator of the early Mongol Empire in the Confucian tradition. He was the first of Genghis Khan's retainers to formulate policy during the Mongol invasions and conquests, and he also introduced many administrative reforms in North China during the reign of Genghis Khan and his successor Ögedei.

Yelü Dashi, also known by his temple name Emperor Dezong of Liao, was the founder of the Qara Khitai, also known as the Western Liao dynasty. He initially ruled as king from 1124 to 1132, then as emperor from 1132 to 1143. He was also known in Muslim sources as Nūshī Taifū, Qushqin Taifū or Qushqīn, son of Baighū. He fled the Liao dynasty in northern China as it was on the verge of destruction by the Jurchen-led Jin dynasty and moved westward into Central Asia where he established a new empire.
