Orestes Quércia was a Brazilian politician. He was the 28th governor of São Paulo State.

Orestes Destrade Cucuas is a Cuban former professional baseball infielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Florida Marlins. Destrade also played in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Seibu Lions. He is now a broadcaster for the Tampa Bay Rays. Like Olympic Stadium, he was nicknamed The Big O.

Orestes Matacena is a Cuban–American actor, writer, producer and director who has been active since the 1970s. His most notable appearance is in the 1994 film The Mask as crime boss Niko.

Orestes of Macedon was the son of Archelaus I and succeeded in his minority as king after his father was slain. He reigned between 399–396 BC under his guardian Aeropus II, who killed him. Aeropus thereafter reigned alone until 394 BC.
