Bachtiar Nasir is an Indonesian Islamist da'i and ulama. He is known for his examination and exploration of the sciences of the Qur'an. The ustad leads the Ar-Rahman Qur'anic Learning Center (AQL) Islamic Center, and also serves as the Secretary General of Intellectual Assembly of Young Ulama Indonesia (MIUMI), Chairman of Alumni of Saudi Arabia in Indonesia, and Chairman of Islamic University of Medina Alumni in Indonesia. He also served as the Central Executive of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI).

Bachtiar Chamsyah was born at Sigli, Aceh on December 31, 1945. He is a politician in United Development Party (PPP) and Indonesian government minister under Yudhoyono presidency. He gained bachelor's degree at Faculty of Economic, Medan Area University.

Bachtiar Karim is a Chinese-Indonesian businessman. He is the executive chairman of Musim Mas, a Singapore-based company invested in palm oil. Despite his net-worth of 2.6B US dollar as of 2019, he has kept a low profile among Indonesian businessmen. He studied in Singapore at the Hwa Chong Junior College and competed a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore.
