Abdelmalek Sellal is an Algerian politician who was Prime Minister of Algeria from 3 September 2012 to 13 March 2014 when he took a leave of office to support President Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s re-election campaign and again from April 2014 to May 2017.

Abdelmalek Droukdel, also known by his nom de guerre as Abu Musab Abdel Wadoud, was the emir, or leader, of the Algerian Islamic militant group Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), formerly the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC). He was killed during a French special operation during the Battle of Talahandak.

Abdelmalek Benhabylès was an Algerian politician. He was born in Chevreuil. He was a chairman of the Constitutional Council from 11 January 1992 until 14 January 1992, thus was acting head of state when the military ousted Chadli Bendjedid. He received the 1st Class, Grand Cordon of Order of the Rising Sun on 17 December 2012.
