He played college football at the University of New Mexico, where he became one of the school's most decorated athletes and was recognized as a consensus All-American in 1999. Following his collegiate success, he was selected ninth overall by the Bears in the 2000 NFL Draft.

Casey Urlacher is an American politician and former football player. He has been the mayor of Mettawa, Illinois since 2013. Urlacher previously played football in the Arena Football League for two seasons for the Chicago Rush and Nashville Kats. He is the brother of former National Football League linebacker Brian Urlacher.
