Major John Patten was a United States farmer and politician from Dover, in Kent County, Delaware. He was an officer of the Continental Army in the American Revolution, a Continental Congressman, and a member of the Democratic-Republican Party, who served in the Delaware General Assembly and as a United States Representative from Delaware.

Alice Patten is an English actress, and the daughter of Chris Patten, Baron Patten of Barnes, a prominent British Conservative politician and the last Governor of Hong Kong. She has played a key role in the Bollywood film Rang De Basanti (2006). Her role earned her praise from film critics in India. She lived in Hong Kong from 1992–1997.

Wesley Patten is an Indigenous Australian actor. He was nominated for the 2020 AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in H is for Happiness.

Zeboim Cartter Patten was an American industrialist, capitalist, and American Civil War captain, born in Wilna, New York, who lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee and founded the Volunteer Life Insurance Company, The Stone Fort Land Company, The T.H. Payne Company, and most notably the Chattanooga Medicine Company in 1879 which is now called Chattem.
