Benjamin List
Benjamin List, also known as Ben List, is a German chemist who is one of the directors of the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research and professor of organic chemistry at the University of Cologne. He co-developed organocatalysis, a method of accelerating chemical reactions and making them more efficient. He shared the 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with David MacMillan "for the development of asymmetric organocatalysis".

Spencer List is an American actor. List is best known from the Fox show Fringe where he played a mysterious mute child in the episode "Inner Child". He has also been on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in which he played Tate, the son of Leland Orser's character, Kevin Walker. List appeared in Jack Ketchum's Offspring in 2009. He made a guest appearance on the Disney Channel show Bunk'd in the episode "Luke's Back" as a Camp Champion camper named Eric.

John August List is an American economist at the University of Chicago, where he serves as Kenneth C. Griffin Distinguished Service Professor; from 2012 until 2018, he served as Chairman of the Department of Economics. List is noted for his pioneering contributions to field experiments in economics. As detailed in his popular science book, The Why Axis, List uses field experiments to offer new insights in various areas of economics research, such as education, private provision of public goods, social preferences, prospect theory, environmental economics, marketplace effects on corporate and government policy decisions, and multi-unit auctions.

Robert Frank "Bob" List is an American attorney and politician. He served as the 24th Governor of Nevada from 1979 to 1983. He was raised in Exeter, California. He served as Carson City District Attorney from 1967 to 1971 and Nevada Attorney General from 1971 to 1979. Currently List practices law in Las Vegas with the law firm Kolesar & Leatham, Chtd. He was the last Governor to serve from outside Clark County until Jim Gibbons' election. After his term ended, he became a supporter of the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste repository. List was defeated for re-election in 1982 by Nevada Attorney General Richard Bryan. He is a member of the Republican Party.
