Hamish Linklater is an American actor. He is known for playing Matthew Kimble in The New Adventures of Old Christine, Andrew Keanelly in The Crazy Ones, and Clark Debussy in Legion. He is the son of dramatic vocal trainer Kristin Linklater.

Richard Stuart Linklater is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is known for films that revolve mainly around suburban culture and the effects of the passage of time. His films include the comedies Slacker (1990) and Dazed and Confused (1993); the Before trilogy romance films—Before Sunrise (1995), Before Sunset (2004), and Before Midnight (2013); the music-themed comedy School of Rock (2003); the animated films Waking Life (2001) and A Scanner Darkly (2006); the coming-of-age drama Boyhood (2014); and the comedy film Everybody Wants Some!! (2016).

Kristin Linklater was a Scottish vocal coach, acting teacher, actor, theatre director, and author. She retired from the Theatre Arts Division of Columbia University where she was professor emerita. She taught residential courses in Orkney. Kristin Linklater died on 5 June 2020, aged 84, at her home, Housegarth, Quoyloo, Orkney.

Veronica Linklater, Baroness Linklater of Butterstone, is a former Liberal Democrat member of the House of Lords. She retired in February 2016 following the House of Lords Reform Act 2014. Her career indicates her interests in children's welfare, education and special needs, and prison reform. She was created a life peer as Baroness Linklater of Butterstone, of Riemore in Perth and Kinross, on 1 November 1997.
