Kavita Krishnamurthy Subramaniam, is an Indian playback singer, trained in classical music. She has recorded more than 25,000 songs in 16 languages including Bengali, Kannada, Hindi, Bhojpuri, Telugu, Odia, Marathi, English, Urdu, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, Nepali, Assamese, Konkani and other languages. She is the recipient of four Filmfare Best Female Playback Singer Awards, and the Padmashri which she received in 2005. In 1999, she married L. Subramaniam and resides in Bengaluru.

Arun Krishnamurthy is an Indian environmental activist who has initiated the campaign of cleaning various lakes across India. He is known for founding the NGO, Environmentalist Foundation of India (EFI) 2011 based in Chennai which has its branches in other cities such as Hyderabad, Delhi and Coimbatore. Arun with the organisation has been successful in cleaning at least 39 lakes in the country and having worked in Google before quitting the job to dedicate voluntarily. He was chosen as among the five people for prestigious Rolex Awards for Enterprise award in 2012 for scientific lake restoration in Chennai.

Veda Krishnamurthy is an Indian cricketer. She made her debut in international cricket at the age of 18 in a one day international against England Women at Derby on 30 June 2011. Krishnamurthy went on to score 51 runs in her ODI international debut. She is a right-handed batter and bowls right-arm legbreak.
