Alexander Borodin
Alexander Porfiryevich Borodin was a Russian chemist and Romantic musical composer of Georgian ancestry. He was one of the prominent 19th-century composers known as "The Mighty Handful", a group dedicated to producing a uniquely Russian kind of classical music, rather than imitating earlier Western European models. Borodin is known best for his symphonies, his two string quartets, the symphonic poem In the Steppes of Central Asia and his opera Prince Igor. Music from the In the Steppes of Central Asia, his Symphony No. 2, Prince Igor and his string quartets was later adapted for the US musical Kismet.
Andrey Borodin
Andrey Fridrikhovich Borodin is a Russian financial expert, economist and businessman who until 2011 was President of Bank of Moscow. He and his first deputy Dmitri Akulinin were dismissed from office by the court for the period of the investigation due to the Premier Estate criminal case, charged with abuse of authority. In April 2011, the meeting of the bank's shareholders dismissed them.

Maksim Borodin was a Russian investigative journalist. On 12 April 2018 he was severely injured after falling from his fifth-floor balcony in Yekaterinburg. He was placed in a coma, but died from his injuries on 15 April.
