Hari Vasudevan was an Indian scholar notable for his work on the history of Russia and Europe, and India-Russia relations. He died on 10 May 2020 from the coronavirus disease at the age of 68.

Asit Bandopadhyay was a Bengali dramatist, screenwriter and actor. He was associated with the Nandikar theater group. He lived and worked in Kolkata, India.

Jean-Michel Bokamba-Yangouma was a Congolese politician. He was a prominent political figure from the 1970s to the 1990s, heading the Congolese Trade Union Confederation. He was the President of the General Movement for the Construction of Congo, a political party.

Sefer Talat Özkarslı, nicknamed Koçero, was a Turkish football manager and footballer who played as a defender. Özkarslı is best known for his stint with Galatasaray from 1961–1971, where he helped them win 3 Süper Lig titles and 7 other domestic trophies.

Elias Farkouh was a Jordanian short story writer and novelist. He was born in Amman in 1948 and was educated in Amman and East Jerusalem. He graduated from the Arab University of Beirut where he read philosophy and psychology. He worked as a journalist in the early part of his career. After working at the publishing house Al-Manarat, he set up his own house Dar Azminah in 1991 and ran it until his death.
