Maud Petty-Fitzmaurice, Marchioness of Lansdowne
Maud Evelyn Petty-Fitzmaurice, Marchioness of Lansdowne, was a British courtier. She served as vice-regal spouse while her husband Henry Charles Keith Petty-FitzMaurice, 5th Marquess of Lansdowne was Governor General of Canada from 1883–1888. She was then Vicereine of India from 1888–1894 while her husband was Viceroy.

John Wesley Young
John Wesley Young was an American mathematician who, with Oswald Veblen, introduced the axioms of projective geometry, coauthored a 2-volume work on them, and proved the Veblen–Young theorem. He was a proponent of Euclidean geometry and held it to be substantially "more convenient to employ" than non-Euclidean geometry. His lectures on algebra and geometry were compiled in 1911 and released as Lectures on Fundamental Concepts of Algebra and Geometry.

Poldowski was the professional pseudonym of a Belgian-born British composer and pianist born Régine Wieniawski, daughter of the Polish violinist and composer Henryk Wieniawski.
