Thomas J. Holding was a British-born stage and film actor.

Pasqual Piñón (1889–1929), known as The Two-Headed Mexican, was a performer with the Sells-Floto Circus in the early 1900s. A railroad worker from Texas, Piñón was discovered by a sideshow promoter whose attention had been caught by a large benign cyst or tumor at the top of Piñón's head. The promoter drafted Piñón into his freak show and had a fake face made of wax to place onto the growth, allowing the claim that Piñón had two heads. Some reports state that it was made of silver and surgically placed under the skin. After several years of touring, the circus manager paid to have the growth removed, and Piñón returned to Texas.

Geoffrey Scott was an English scholar and poet, known as a historian of architecture. His biography of Isabelle de Charrière entitled The Portrait of Zelide won the 1925 James Tait Black Memorial Prize.

His translations of Western and Japanese books into Chinese introduced new theories and ideas and inspired young activists.

Lawrence Dundas, 1st Marquess of Zetland, known as Lawrence Dundas until 1873 and as the Earl of Zetland from 1873 to 1892, was a British Conservative statesman. He was Lord Lieutenant of Ireland between 1889 and 1892.

Marco Praga born in Milan on June 20, 1862; died on January 31, 1929) was an Italian playwright popular in his era. His two most successful plays were La vergini and La moglie ideale (1890), which reportedly contained one of Eleonora Duse great roles. He continued to do notable works until 1915. He collaborated in the preparation of the libretto for Giacomo Puccini's Manon Lescaut.
