Gürsel Aksel, was a Turkish former footballer who played as a midfielder. Aksel spent his entire professional career with Göztepe, and is their most capped player in their history. He had 3 caps with the Turkey national football team, and after retiring was briefly a manager before his untimely death in 1978.

Roy Albert DeMeo was an Italian-American mobster in the Gambino crime family of New York City. He headed a group referred to as the "DeMeo crew", which became notorious for the large number of murders they committed and for the grisly way they disposed of the bodies, which became known as "the Gemini Method". The crew committed a very large amount of murders, with the majority of them committed by DeMeo himself.

Anar Jamal oghly Mammadkhanov was a Member of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, social activist and the captain of Parni iz Baku KVN team.

Iñaki Ochoa de Olza was a Spanish mountaineer, alpinist and climber. Ochoa de Olza took part in more than thirty separate climbing expeditions in the Himalayas over the course of his career, and he was involved in more than 200 expeditions as a guide. His records included climbing 12 of the world's 14 tallest mountains without the aid of oxygen. Ochoa went on record as saying that he did not believe in using oxygen to climb mountains, claiming "if you use oxygen, you are not an alpinist; you are more of an astronaut or a scuba diver.". He died of pulmonary edema in May 2008 while attempting to climb Annapurna.

Amar Suloev was a Russian mixed martial artist of Kurdish–Yazidi origin. Following his mixed martial arts career, Suloev became involved in the world of organized crime and was arrested and accused of being a contract killer. He died of stomach cancer in June 2016. During his career, he fought for the UFC, PRIDE Fighting Championships, Cage Rage, and M-1 Global.

Carlos Fonseca Amador was a Nicaraguan politician, teacher and librarian who founded the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN). Fonseca was later killed in the mountains of Nicaragua, three years before the FSLN took power.

Eugenio Polgovsky was a Mexican filmmaker and visual artist. He worked as director, cinematographer, editor, sound designer and producer of his films. Polgovsky was known for the Mexican documentaries "Tropic of Cancer" and Los Herederos "The Inheritors".

Pavel Pergl was a Czech professional footballer who last played as a central defender for FC Locarno. He died by suicide on 1 May 2018.
