Crescentius the Younger, son of Crescentius the Elder, was a leader of the aristocracy of medieval Rome. During the minority of Holy Roman Emperor Otto III, he declared himself Consul of Rome and made himself de facto ruler of Rome. After being deposed, he led a rebellion, seized control of Rome, and appointed an antipope, but the rebellion failed and Crescentius was eventually executed.

Lysimachus was a son of king Ptolemy Philadelphus by Arsinoe, the daughter of Lysimachus, king of Thrace. He survived both his brother Ptolemy III Euergetes and his uncle Magas of Egypt, but was not much later put to death by Sosibius, the minister and guardian of Ptolemy IV Philopator.

Cleomenes II was Agiad King of Sparta from 369 to 309 BC. The son of Cleombrotus I, he succeeded his brother Agesipolis II. He was the father of Acrotatus I, the grandfather of Areus I, and father of Cleonymus, who was the father of Leonidas II.
