Sibyl de Neufmarché, Countess of Hereford, suo jure Lady of Brecknock, was a Cambro-Norman noblewoman, heiress to one of the most substantial fiefs in the Welsh Marches. The great-granddaughter of Gruffydd ap Llywelyn, king of Wales, Sibyl was also connected to the nobility of England and Normandy. Sibyl inherited the titles and lands of her father, Bernard de Neufmarché, Lord of Brecon, after her mother, Nest ferch Osbern, had declared her brother Mahel to have been illegitimate. Most of these estates passed to Sibyl's husband, Miles de Gloucester, 1st Earl of Hereford, as her dowry. Their marriage had been arranged personally by King Henry I of England in the spring of 1121. Sibyl, with her extensive lands, was central to the King's plans of consolidating Anglo-Norman power in south-east Wales by the merging of her estates with those of Miles, his loyal subject on whom he relied to implement Crown policy.

Javier F Peña is an American retired DEA agent who investigated Pablo Escobar and the Medellín Cartel with his former colleague Stephen Murphy and the Colombia National Police. Peña worked as a consultant on the Netflix series Narcos. Peña was not involved in the DEA's Cali Cartel activities; his involvement in the investigation in season three of the Netflix series is a fictional account. Following the investigation of the Medellín Cartel, Peña worked for the DEA with additional assignments in Puerto Rico, Texas and Colombia. Peña retired from the DEA in 2014.

Daniel O'Connell (Jnr) was one of seven children of Daniel and Mary O'Connell of Ireland. He served in the British Parliament from 1846 to 1847 as Member of Parliament (MP) for Dundalk, from 1847 to 1848 as an MP for Waterford City, and from 1853 to 1863 as MP for Tralee. He was also a moderately successful brewer, producing a brand called "O'Connell's Ale", which for a short time tried to compete with Guinness in popularity. His brothers Maurice, John and Morgan were all MPs.

Mary of Guelders was the queen of Scotland by marriage to King James II of Scotland. She ruled as regent of Scotland from 1460 to 1463.
